Mathematics compresses a physical argument.
Start with dimensions, scales, and symmetry before exact algebra. Buckingham's Pi theorem shows how dimensionless groups organize experiments; limiting cases expose errors and dominant effects.
Approximation is not carelessness. A controlled approximation states a small parameter, retains terms to a chosen order, and checks where neglected terms matter.
